* Pay - 70k is too low - paid every 30 days (as opposed to 2 weeks) is very challening - first of my 4 permanent offers not to offer stock - no explicitly stated bonus structure * Hours - 8:30-5:30 too long. Used to to 9 to 5 with hour lunch - major dealbreaker is forced splitting of breaks * Culture - Dress code * Growth Opportunity - In a way, I have grown a lot here, because I got to break out of my Unix/Perl programmer mode. I have been doing Python work here which has been a stimulating change of pace from Perl. * Bottom line I like the work I do, but the pay is unreasonably low, both for my bills and for someone with my years of experience. I am not positioned to be a key player in the company and thus cannot expect large bonuses or pay increases. I also was not offered any stock with employment which further reduces my earning potential. Reasonable pay would allow me to forget almost all listed factors, but the rigidity in hours of attendance is also something I cannot tolerate for the long term. A constant thorn in my side here is cold rooms. Upstairs is horribly cold and downstairs is getting that way.
